Introduction
Hello, my name is Roger Befurt and I am a Microsoft Certified Solutions Architect. I have always been fascinated by technology and how it can help SMB organizations become more efficient, effective and ultimately help improve the experience not only of employees but also of clients.
Over the years I have always been passionate in trying to help individuals get to the “Ah Ha” moment where they truly understand how to take their investments to the next level and get the most out of them.
Why I Started This Blog
I decided to start my blog with that in mind, where we aren't focusing on just the technology but more importantly the real business outcomes and value that can be driven while using Microsoft 365, Power Platform and the myriad of other tools and connectors that can be integrated into the ecosystem to give organizations a more cohesive and modern workplace.
The Enterprise Myth
I hear it all the time that the true power of these tools is only meant for enterprise organizations, but I can without a doubt tell you that is not the case. Any organization, big or small, can see significant impact if they have the right mind set and strategy in place to use the Microsoft 365 Platform to change and transform their organization.
What’s Ahead
I plan on starting with the absolute basics where we will discuss what Microsoft 365 is and how it is not “just Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint”.
We’ll dive into SharePoint and Teams, then move into the Power Platform.
- We’ll start by exploring how it can be a natural entry point for automating processes through SharePoint integration.
- From there, we’ll look at the spectrum of automation, ranging from personal productivity tools to departmental solutions, and ultimately to using the Power Platform as a core enterprise automation and data platform.
- Along the way, we’ll also highlight how it can be used both as an extension of SharePoint and as a foundation for purpose-built applications and processes.
The Value
Most importantly, we’ll discuss how these tools bring value at every level: personal, team, and organization wide, not just for the big players.
